Position, colors, and visibility of the on-screen overlay. Preview updates live as you adjust.
AI
Pick the model that analyzes your screenshots. Everything routes through OpenRouter on your Tavra plan — no separate API key needed.
Live-fetched from openrouter.ai/api/v1/models. Any pick routes via the tavra-ai Worker; if it 4xx's, the server whitelist needs the id — ping ops.
Modes
Each mode is a way the overlay behaves. Bind a hotkey to trigger it.
All hotkeys fire as Ctrl + Alt + <letter> — click a bind button and press the letter you want. Rebinding a shared hotkey (X, S) updates both mode cards.

1Make a folder anywhere on your PC
C:\Tavra\is a good default. Right-click your C: drive in File Explorer → New → Folder → name itTavra. -
2Open Windows Security
Press Win, type Windows Security, hit Enter. Or Start → Settings → Privacy & security → Windows Security → Open Windows Security.

3Virus & threat protection → Manage settings
Left rail: Virus & threat protection. Scroll to Virus & threat protection settings → Manage settings.

4Scroll to Exclusions → Add or remove exclusions
Near the bottom of the same page. Click Add or remove exclusions. Windows will ask for admin — approve it.

5Add an exclusion → Folder → pick your folder
Click + Add an exclusion → Folder → navigate to
C:\Tavra\(or wherever you made it) → Select Folder. -
6Download Tavra.exe into that folder
Head to Downloads, hit the button, and save straight into
C:\Tavra\. Double-click to run — Windows may still warn (More info → Run anyway).
Double-click Tavra whenever you want to use it. Once open:
- Ctrl + Alt + O — show / hide the overlay
- Ctrl + Alt + S — ask Tavra about what's on your screen
- Ctrl + Alt + X — save a screenshot
- Ctrl + Alt + Q — quit
Change these + everything else on the Settings page. Edits apply live if Tavra's running, or on next launch.
